Astra’s Adventures
A jungle bird (a Splendid Astrapia) leads the watchers through their little jungle neighborhood to meet the various wild Birds of Paradise. All the characters are based on real birds that live in the central highlands of Papua New Guinea. Astra is a sweet teenager loved by all in the neighborhood. His best friends are Saxony, Carl, and Lester, and they love getting into trouble together. Short and lighthearted adventures ensue. It has more of an educational tone and the general audience is all ages but it is definitely geared towards children. Please click to view the full images.

This is the story of a ferocious little long-haired chihuahua named Lulu. In this story, Lulu starts her morning with a little adventure in the hills. Startled by some quail outside Lulu chases after them. She chases the covey of quail farther and farther into the hills. Then, suddenly a pack of coyotes spots Lulu through the fence. A tense stare-off occurs. Can this little ten pound chihuahua fend off some California coyotes?

Angry Pepper is a children’s picture book about learning to deal with big emotions by taking notice of the small details in nature. Readers follow along with Pepper, a young hen who sports cowboy boots (with spurs) and a big attitude. After getting into a fight Pepper reluctantly takes a walk, and on her journey, she meets many whimsical creatures such as a band of singing reptilians, a turtle in a turtleneck, and three bug fairies.
